IDEAS FOR TEACHERS

Teachers, here are some ideas for simple assignments for your students.

We can help you customize a Community for a specific course topic, or even a course textbook.

To use any of the assignments, simply Copy & Paste the ideas below, or adapt them to suit your purposes.

Each assignment is designed to help the student pedagogically to:
-Research Web Pages relevant to course topics
-Evaluate the quality of Web Pages
-Share course-related Web Pages with their peers

Note:
Teachers, if you have already created a unique Community for your course, direct the students to index their Web Pages in that Community. If not, take a few moments to create a unique Community.
From the blue menu bar above select:
> Index a Page > Suggest a Community

SUGGESTED ASSIGNMENTS

INDEX A PAGE

-Copy the URL of a Web Page that would be relevant to the course topic
-Go to: http://Zenome.com
-Select: Index a Page
-Index the Web Page in the Community that most specifically relates to the course topic

EVALUATE THE RELEVANCE OF WEB PAGES

(Read the following Web Page for hints on how to evaluate Web Pages):

-Go to: http://Zenome.com
-Go to the Community that most specifically relates to the course topic
-Provide a review of each of the Web Pages
-Recommend what you think is the most relevant Web Page for the course topic
-Beside each URL, select: More Info > Rate URL and provide a rating
(The higher ranked Web Page will rise to the top of the Community.)

SUGGEST A COMMUNITY

-Go to: http://Zenome.com
-Suggest a Community that does not yet exist, but would be relevant to the course topic. (Make sure that an identical or similar Community doesn’t exist!)
-From the blue menu bar select: Index a Page > Suggest a Community
